Vote for Me!

Samsung recently launched a contest on this new phone, F300, where interested participants will have to send in a photo or a video impersonating Miss. Beyonce, Samsung's latest ambassador[source].The top prize is the phone, while consolation prizes includes only a copy of Beyonce's B'Day Deluxe Edition (50 copies to be given out). The rule is simple, 6 top viewed entries will make it to the finals, and will then be voted by Samsung Fun Club members for a period of a week or so before selecting the winner with the highest vote. Well, an easy competition like this is worth joining. And while others are sending just photos, a devoted fan like me takes up challenges, and in the end, I sent in a video which is receiving fairly views, but will most likely miss out the finals. Bangles

Reunions are what most school leavers often look forward to annually. It's the time where ex-schoolmates, and some cum-classmates meet up to update each other with the development of their lives. This year, the gathering for the batch of 1987 of SSG once again took place. This year, it was held in Bangles at No. 270, Jalan Ampang, a Northern Indian cuisine restaurant located right at the opposite of Great Eastern Mall. Out of the full batch, approximately 50 of them turned up. And from my former class, K2, less than half appeared.

The ambience of the place is pretty good, despite the fact that we're exposed to mosquitoes attack once we're in the unair-conditioned area. Food-wise, we didn't have much of a choice. The tandoori chicken is tasty. The naan was pretty okay. The rice was rather good too, served with some mutton and beef, together with the fried ladyfingers.

Apart from chit-chatting and eating, camwhoring is also a big element of reunion. I didn't have a good camera with me, so had to borrow other's cameras in order to snap a picture or two. Nevertheless, still had quite a handful of pictures afterall. :)

Beyonce - Flaws and Alls

Unlike all the other glamorous music videos, Flaws and Alls delivers Beyonce as a woman who is just like everyone else. Dorky and playful, you can see her having lots of fun in making this black and white video which features some footage on her photo shoot for the album art. On top of that, this is the only video that was produced solely by Beyonce. In the video, she she emulates Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and Barbra Streisand [source]. Although I didn't like it at first, but after watching it a few times, the simple concept works miraculously. However, the song itself is a tad boring. Anyway, enjoy ~

Oh NO!

This is such a ridiculous riddle challenge. I'm not even up to the Kindergarten standard, although I ain't a Harvard student either. This has been said to be the hardest riddle in the world with 97% of Harvard Graduates not able to figure out the answer whilst 84% of Kindergarten students are able to solve it in 6 minutes or less! Sometimes, too much analysis and thinking complicate things up. Here's a lesson to learn. :)

Did you figure out the answer too? Yes, the answer is NO, simply because of the very last line of the riddle where it asked its reader's capability to guess the riddle or not. I find it amusing, yet it's a bit dope.

Beyonce - Kitty Kat/Green Light

With great videos such as Deja Vu and Crazy in Love, Beyonce never fails to live up to expectations. Although the budget for the rest of the videos to be included in the B'Day Deluxe Edition or the B'Day Video Anthology, most of the videos were beautifully produced, just like the one that I'm going to recommend - Kitty Kat/Green Light. Melina was the director for both videos, while Beyonce helped a little on Kitty Kat.

Song wise, I had never liked Kitty Kat but have had extremely loved Green Light. As complemented with a music video, Kitty Kat has just been miraculously upgraded from a C-list to a B-list for me. It would have been wise for Ms. Knowles a.k.a. Sasha, her stage name to have chose Green Light over Get Me Bodied as her fifth single from the album.

The first attraction of the video is her wonderful make-up, especially for Kitty Kat. I wonder how much time was spent on it, must have been an hour at least. The monsterised kitten looked pretty cute but Beyonce was even cuter to be playing with the wool. In Green Light, her different images impresses me. She showed class, sophistication and pride. All these just proved her status as a true diva in the future.
