Another trip to Mid Valley for movie. Saw this new flick called the Confession of Pain starring Tony Leung, Shu Qi and Takeshi Kaneshiro. Overall, I rate the movie a ***1/2. The story is a bit common and predictable, but the director made it work technically by shooting the movie perfectly. Aside from that, the flow of the plot was smooth and well planned. Certainly, RM6 was well spent.
After that, rushed to Connaught for the longest night market in town. The traffic was terrible, caused by the breakdown of a car towards the U-turn at the divider to Leisure Mall and Phoenix Plaza. Well, at least some time was saved since I found a parking shortly after I turned.Just minutes after I left the car, rain started to shower all the night market walkers. Fortunately, I had umbrellas. Too bad for those who had to hide themselves under the shelter for quite a while. Nevertheless, the rain cleared and soon the street was flooded with patrons.
So, what's so great about this pasar malam other than its length and varieties? The food was just okay. Perhaps, could be dirty because my friend had a bad stomach pain about 4 hours after. Anyway, a few things that you should try there. The fried tofu and fried mushroom are really t-a-s-t-y. Love it when its freshly fried. Then, the japanese crepe shouldn't be missed. Also, try the steamed oval fishcake and curry fishball. My personal pasar malam favorite. Last but not least, nobody should resist the crispy, sweet Vietnam Popiah with essence of the tropical coconut floss and "yin yang" sesame.
Of course, when there's good, there's also bad. I wouldn't recommend the so called China Hamburger. I didn't find it nice at all. The bread, meat and egg just did not mix and match each other in an inviting way. Luckily, it cost only RM1.20 per piece. Then, one could also find this explosive gigantic meatball. It's sold by Fatman steamboat if I'm not mistaken. Well, the meatball is nice, but it's disappointing enough when it doesn't match it's name. Don't know what I'm talking about, try one yourself. Didn't have the chance to take any pictures actually. Reason? Left my phone in my car.
So, that wraps up my ever first time in that night market. The next time I'm there, I shall guarantee some photos to be brought back for remembrance. :p

He's leaving, we're singing.
Christmas season continues even after 25th. Got my ass to The Curve today for Redbox Karaoke with King Kong, Orang Utan, Sharky and Sabbie. It was actually a farewell karaoke session for Sharky, who would be leaving on the 1st of January for Kansas City, United States. We had lots of joy and fun with my bitch and I screwing much of the songs. That happens all the time anyway, making it less shocking to those who are already used to our style of having fun. So, 3 hours of singing, without extensions granted. Nonetheless, price of just 5++ per pax is still reasonable, but the promotion is ending soon after the ordinary school holidays. T_T
After everyone have left, King Kong and I grabbed our opportunity to show y'all the enthusiasm to camwhore wherever we are as the King and Queen. So, in just a short time, we took about 18 pictures only according to King Kong. That was after filtering out the bad ones. Bragging on no further, here are some of the pictures...

Yea, lights. I just went from Jay Z to Cameroon Diaz, complexion-wise.
Lastly, fashion watch. Hit or miss?

X'Mas activities.
Darkness exists before light. Christmas can turn out disastrous when things don't go our ways, run out of control and mislead into a path thick with fog. Either love the festive day or hate it. This year, I celebrated it in a rather similar way - which was heading to the club late at night with some boos. After deciding for quite a long time, we finally decided to step into Poppy Garden and Passion. Place was crowded as usual, but that applied only to Poppy, where the R&B music was played while Passion was more spacious with only a few on the dancefloor. The turn off was the trance and house music that was on air. Boo. I still don't get high with that type of music yet.
Anyway, while walking around there, noticed that this brand new club was flooded by "zombies". Aloha, the new club in town attracted me with its name itself, giving me an idea of a Hawaiian style beach club. The interior seems to be very sophisticated from the streets, with many patrons patiently and impatiently waiting at the entrance, waiting to be granted admission. One day, I'll try that club out. Oh, also had some friends over Espanda and Nuovo (was that correct?). It seems that the cover charge was only RM30 for both clubs. Hmm, but also according to my friend, clubbing in Espanda was boring at even 1.00a.m. Dancefloor was cold, as not hot chics were to spotted dancing raunchily or sensually... Guys will always be guys.
So, back to my experience in Poppy. The place there is cozy, with a blend of um, garden style of course. I enarly stepped into the drain in the garden where I could have possibly slipped and get myself proportionally wet from head to toe. That's one thing to watch out for when one is there. Then, there isn't a dancefloor in the compound of Poppy. Just dance anywhere you like. Not a good concept though. Spotlight is very important for clubbers, right? Nevertheless, the dancefloor can be found in Passion on the 1st floor. But like I've said, the music was a turn off for me, though I did dance a little and enjoyed myself. Heck, it was Christmas, and I was happy and entertained. And energy was almost drained completely.
Oh yea, there was this friendly girl over there who helped me taking care of my friends. She was quite observant to even notice that my friend was having an emotional breakdown. Gengz! After the whole club closed down at around 3.00a.m., met her once again at the exit/entrance and we bod bye to each other like there was a sore friendship between us. =)
Anyway, back to the main topic that I was supposed to be saying, during Christmas, there are some people who would be rejoicing and some of them would be as miserable as they could be. Why? Those who are celebrating, have no problems and predicaments that are stopping them from really enjoying themselves. Then, on the contrary, there are some who would worry and thin of their lives and the bad experiences that they have gone through. Let's say, a break-up a few days before Christmas. That would haunt 'em throughout the whole season, wouldn't it? Okay, let's not touch on death too, 'cause we all know how hard that would hit on us.
Then, certain lonely individuals would possibly go suffer a dark christmas, as they think that this is an important date to have someone accompanying them by their side. Assurance and security. Countdown with friends isn't enough. Loneliness is very subjective. Some would count on friends, some would opt for close companions or lovers. Having a pessimistic view is often bad. That's why I'm an optimistic person at most of the time, but not everytime. All these years, I had not have much fun except for this year actually. Christmas with friends do help I tell ya. It creates a warm Christmas that reaches out within the heart and soul.
Ah, crappy enough, I'll just move on to what I did today instead. I actually went to my friends house to join them for a dinner party. Bloated myself with the good food there - including fried chicken, roasted duck, sponge cheese cake, brownie, etc. - but without turkeys. Oh, and pumpkins. Wait, is that for Halloween? Nevertheless, the dinner was great!
After that, my friend made cocktails for the crowd (made out of 14 or so). Stood there, and watched carefully, hoping to learn something from him. Never been an alcoholic, but soon soulshifting into one. I love the one which was a mixture of soya bean and brady? Then, also tried the combination of Pepsi Twist, Vodka of Peach flavor and Vanilla flavor, and fresh orange juice. Turned out to be rather, less fantastic. Whilea bomb makes a loud explosion, this only does a small "pop".
Soon, everyone got into their gambling mode. Territories were divided into the cards and mahjong zones. Being a mahjong player, I stayed in that zone for most of the time. Only played 2 matches when my friend wasn't around, and I won money for both matches. Not bad for beginners. Had some good hand back then. Time struck like lightning without sound, quick yet unnoticed. Soon, it was already 4 o'clock in the morning, only to find that it was time for us to depart from the place, back to our home sweet homes. Was earlier than yesterday, when I reached home at about 6 after having a drink at BRJ with my friends until 5 or so. Again worn out tonight, I still find myself blogging at 5.44 in the morning. Has blogging became part of my life? Only time will tell.
By the way, here are some pictures that was taken a few days ago with my bitch and I at her crib after midnight. Enjoy~

The devilish King Kong and Monkey is on their way to haunt you tonight! Beware!
Trying to be posh here. Hit or miss?

Cooking 101 #1
There was once a plan for Allison and I to open a restaurant. And now I wonder will we ever realise that dream of ours back in secondary school. Well, as the first step, I need to learn a bit of cooking. Basic is important in order to prosper from there on. Therefore, I've been utilizing my oven quite a lot these days.
First attempt was to bake some cakes. The first cake was a failure. With surface similar to our Moon, it looked very uninviting. The submelted chocolate spoiled the whole cake I would blame. Besides, many complained that it was rather too sweet. Well, mission failed. Oh yea, I just remembered, the dough was manually mixed with my pair of hands. Tell ya, luckily a cake-mixer has been invented.
Chocolate and orange cake!
Without wasting much time, I motivated myself again to start on Cake #2. At that point, I ran out of oranges rind for me to grate. As a result, I mixed half of the dough with wine instead. What a weird combination, right? The time to prepare this was extended. In the end, the cake turned out pretty good physically, but tasted... weirdly?!
The inferno chocolate cake.
Lastly, with my mom's help, I came out with the 3rd cake. Just pure butter cake topped with coarsely blended almond. I have to admit it myself, the cake ain't hald bad this time. It it was to be a bit more moist, I would have graded it a 7/10. (So, what do I do when a cake's too dry? Somebody help me! Please!) And not too sweet this time around too. Okay, half um... success!
Almond buttercake.
Want a slice of it?
Kinda sick of cakes already. Consequently, my restaurant need to have chinese cuisine too. Dim sum is a great idea, so "siu mai" was next up on my list. It was easy to prepare, but to steam it perfectly is nasty. The skin often turns out too be too dry. Damn foreskins haha! Anyway, had too much leftovers, so I grileld them into fried wantons instead. Okay, wantons sounds a bit of a turn off. I shall call them chibigyoza instead!
Shaping them was hard too! But they turned out fantastic, didn't they?
Charging half a dozen at RM3.00 only! >_<

I luv to draw.
Time is precious. Time is godly. Fate doesn't play time, it's the other way round. Destiny is being played. Isn't it? Anyway, I'm just trying to say that I'm wasting time no more! I'll do whatever I want to before it's too late. Hahaha, yeap. At least for now...
I remember when I was pretty young, I used to draw a lot. Had dozens sketches of Dragon Ball, the fad is that time. That startled my passion for drawing. Ever since, Art was one of my favorite subjects next to Math. However, entering secondary school, my passion started to fade slowly, for some unknown reasons. But getting back on the right path is critical and during this holiday, I'm starting to make use of the dusted thickly 2B pencils again. Looking at all my "masterpieces", I have to say that I'm quite a bad, untalented artist. But I still love drawing. :)
Anyway, here are some of my work... don't laugh!

K2 Mini-Reunion.
Damn. I missed my Saturday classes due to my late awakening this morning. Anyway, not so motivated to move my butt to Mid Valley today anyway because there would be a massive jam around that area as usual. Besides, I think the amount of people could double up today since the weekend has been prolonged as Christmas holidays for the working individuals have arrived.
Yesterday, had a small reunion dinner for ex-K2mates. A class made out fo 20 at that time, only 7 turned up for the gathering. It was sorta my mistake for choosing the wrong date, as y'all know, Chinese have annual dinner on this festive day where they'll eat flourballs with ginger soup cooked with the pandan leaves. Well well, and some couldn't make it due to other problems too. So, guess a full reunion will happen sometime next year instead.
By the way, it was held in TGIF, Life Centre. The three course meal is so filling, and I had a hard time finishing it. Ordered food that I haven't tried before - bruschetta, country fried chicken that is served with roasted corn and mashed potatoe and Fridays sundae. Oh before that, we also ordered this um... whateva potatoe that is baked with cheese on the top with some salted bacon. Hmm, overall, I was satisfied with the food.
It was great to catch up on the happenings of them. Really missed the good old times during secondary school. Miss the times of Jaya Jusco, Taman Maluri. But we have a life of our own paths and stories to continue on, to mold on. That's life.

My bitch, Cow a.k.a. Momo!
Yea, gimme a kiss moo moo!
With Ai San and Shook Yee. Remember that I use to shoot videos of them last time.
May Yenn, or Jennifer or Nixie (which she prefers better). SHe lvies near me yet we seldom hang out. Ugh.
Lol, funny picture.
Monkey poses for the camera.
This happens all the time. Have been devirginised (word that the Queen will use) for a million years now.
Nonetheless, Happy X'Mas to everyone out there!
Look who's hiding in that um... what is that called again?
Say bye to TGIF! Next reunion will have a change of venue, definitely.
Guess whose heels #1?

KKK
Sports, sports, sports. Was out for badminton today with King Kong, Piggy and Stephanie in KKK Subang/Sunway. It was really fun to be hanging out with em' since the last time all of us went out together happens to be extremely long ago. Kinda miss the olden days, as they have said too. The stress-free, joyous era of Taylors Business Foundation. Anyway, all 4 of us spent 2 hours for badminton, before heading towards A&W for a drink. :>
Go Steph! Go! S-T-E-P-H!
I'm gonna beat her ass of, says Helena in her <3
Sexy Queen had to rest due to physical damage occurred during her match.
Intensely exhausted. Hehe.
Ops. And this wasn't taken there of course. Remember the bike ride I had back in Pangkor? Had a few seconds for snapshots while I made a brief stop at misc. corner.

Movie-maniac.
Been damn fucking long since I used the dashboard. Eventually, the Monkey is back to tell y'all bits of his life during his holiday so far. Anyway, for those of you who are wondering if I've actually gotten back my desktop yet The answer is hell no. I have not been contacted since the guy told me that my motherboard was failing to function, which happend to be Sunday. In the call, he told me that he will only take a day or two. And heck, Thursday is already ahead in less than 2 hours. I miss everything in my desktop - pictures, videos, songs, etc.
So so, my ass is out in the town most of the time. Hereby, I self-acclaim as a Redbox Kaki. No, I'm not going there everyday, but almost once weekly. I just love going there, although I can't sing well. Back in Form 2, Jennifer once suggested me to shut my mouth and stop singing. My voice sucks was precisely pointed out by her in a written note which I still keep until this very moment. My fair princess has not sent me any pictures yet so I have nothing to post. (PT! I want the pictures ASAP!!)
While I'm not in Redbox, I find myself watching movie most of the time. At home and at the cinema. A few old movies that I caught were:
1) Lucky Number Slevin (****1/2) - Majority knows that I'm not a person who's into thrillers. But in this movie which starred Bruce Willis and Josh Hartnett, the storyline blew me off. Bravo.
2) Mission Impossible 2 (***1/2) - Pretty old. Action packed. Satisfactory result.
3) The Da Vinci Code (****1/2) - Interesting story with a few gory scenes which disgusted me. I regret not catching this on the big screen early this year. However, I will have to question myself if I'll be able to cling myself to the seat for more than 2 hours...
4) Wedding Crashers (****) - Crude humors from the big casts of the movie did not disappoint. Moreover, Rachel McAdams played a major role in the movie too. Heart her.
5) The Fast and The Furious (***) - This is where the Rempits get their inspirations. It was a fairly good movie I would say.
6) The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift (**1/2) - While it doesn't continue from where it stopped, the movie did not live up much to the hype of its predecessor. And also, the main actress couldn't seem to portray her role skillfully. What gone wrong?
Well, moving on 3 new movies that I caught recently:
1) Eragon (***1/2) - It's the holiday season everywhere and the market needs a heroic movie to target a big scope of audience. The movie has all the aspects to make ti successful, but when Narnia delivered a stellar job, this movie only did it at 75%. As the first installment of the whole trilogy it seems, I was satisfied with the movie since it did entertain me. But the fact that I was sitting on 2 rows from the screen distracted me from giving my 110 percent concentration. By the way, the dragon (Sapphire? Sapphira?) was really cute and adorable during her tender ages. There are a few hilarious moments in the movie that one should catch for. One of it is the part when Eragon said "You look... fir for battle".
2) Seed of Darkness (**3/4) - I think most of you have not even heard of the movie before. Perhaps, do you recall reading about this local production of "Nephesh Seed" by popular artists (Amber Chia, Vick Teo, etc.) back in a while, like almost a year ago? With the final editing summarising, here comes the movie, hitting our cinemas soon actually, but I had the chance to catch the exclusive preview screening. Hmm, so the movie IS SCARY and yet, funny at times. I jerked and screamed as usual. Not too bad, but yes, it's predictable. So those of you who plans to watch it, think twice if hate something thats usual, normal and not one of a kind. On top of that, don't complain on the acting by um, the side characters. They did not look convincing enough...
3) The Haunted Apartments (*1/2) - Major disappointment! My expectations for the movie unquestionably surpassed the real excitement conveyed. The clear idea is rather unique, but small elements of the movie are a tad identical from other horror flicks. The poster definitely tricked me into watching this. The irony twist towards the ending which I suppose was targeted to add a little bit of spices to the movie failed to work for me. All in all, NO, don't bother to watch this! Sigh...

Cosplay Party!
Luck has not changed. It has even worsened. Whilst I was doing the usual stuff with my desktop yesternight, suddenly it just jammed like nobody's business. I do realise that we're having public holidays, but jam shouldn't be occurring on computers. And ya know what? I tried to restart my computer, and it failed and failed and failed no matter how many fucking times I tried. So I gave it a rest till morning, and tried for the very last time. Still couldn't. Alright, finally after 2 years he will be sent for hospitalization.
Anyway, got my butt to Sungei Wang yesterday to catch my friend in a cosplay competition. It was a whole new experience for me as I've never been to one. However, the ambience was thoroughly disturbed by this insane lady in yellow (who can be counted as over friendly, and could be bashed up - remember the news quite a while ago where an over friendly supervisor was beaten up?), who was shouting and yelling or supporting you might put it constantly for each contestant as if she knows everyone there. Okay, perhaps she knows the characters that the contestants were portraying, but then she has to care about other audiences as well. Luckily, the competition only took up to 2 hours plus starting from 3 o'clock. Nevertheless, my friend did not make it to the finals. :( And one last thing, after everything wrapped up, I spotted the yellow insane lady chasing after her friend in public. Hahaha... she's crazy.

One of the 10 finalists. She was the most "outgoing" one in the bunch.
Also another finalist. She's cute, and kicks ass pretty well. Her fighting moves were really awesome.
The fav of the crowd but not joining the competition. Was there just to help out. Physically, he reminds me of Adrien.
Also another favorite but did not make the cut. Nana! Nana! Nana! (Um, and he's hot, isn't he?)
Finally, my friend as Kakeshi. Bravo! Better not mess with the Ninja.
