12 girls remained, and whilst the drama queen was booted in the previous episode, the drama did continue. The girls seemed not to be getting enough rest, as they were again put to their test on runway. This time around, it's old-school style for some teenagers. Jaslene, despite being the fiercest and having a stellar control on her runway, failed the test, and was even named one of the worst. Sarah had a little peek-a-boob, which was absolutely inappropriate for its audience at that time. And guess who the winner was? Brittany? I thought that her walk was dreadful. The only possible reason for her to win is her youthfulness and spirit. Back to the house, Jaslene was a little suspicious on the other girls ganging up on her for she knew that she's one of the best models in the bunch (which I totally agree).
On the very next day, without wasting much time, they were up for their second photoshoot already. Damn, the competition does have a very tight schedule every season. I guess that's how models actually work. Anyway, the theme was High School Cliches. There were girls portraying the president, the mean girl, the teacher's per (which I experienced before), etc. A few girls did a good job, while others, might have improved by an inch or less. Analyzing the girls from this cycle, nobody occurred to me like Caridee (winner of cycle 7) did. She was the best from the beginning, just killing the competition with her fingertips. Anyway, here are the portfolios for that particular week.
Brittany, the Valedictiorian. Once again, fabulous picture.
Cassandra, the cheerleader. It's not working...
Diana, the student body president. Quite okay.
Dionne, the bad girl. Not bad at all.
Felicia, the jock. The picture's fantastic to me.
Jael, the nerd. Alright alright.
Jaslene, the weirdo. Whoa!
Natasha, the teacher's pet. Ugh, no-no!
Renee, the class clown. She does look like a class clown in that picture.
Samantha, the girl with the bad reputation. Was she ready for the set?
Sarah, the flirt. This picture blew me away. She's sexy...
Whitney, the mean girl. If she's a fire, she has to be a weak one.
So who's first and who's last? Who faired well to the panel of judges and who appeared to be the girl who should be eliminated next? Here's Tyra's call-out order for that episode:
