ANTM 8 Episode 4 Quickie

In episode 4, the girls finally got their makeover from Neeko, a famous hair stylist who has worked on Tyra's hair many, many time. Cassandra's old sewn on waeve was replaced by thick, curly, wavy afro weave. Renee's hair was cut similarly to Yoanna, former contestant-cum-winner from Cycle 2. Diana's hair was thickened and lengthened, as to Whitney, but she went blonde as well. Both Natasha and Felicia got some bangs and colors. Dionne was the new Kelis. Sarah's naturally bleached hair was also gone. Jaslene's latino flavor was heightened as her hair was layered and thickened. Brittany got a new weave (and her first ever in her life) and a new color. Last but not least, Jael was supposedly to get some extensions, but it was later taken out after 8 hours! because it wasn't working on her. Instead, her hair went from super long to duper short.

Overall, they turned much more modelly and prettier after the makeover. But hell wait, they were not the only ones who had fresh looks. Ms. Jay was also there...

Bam, and indeed, he did transform! Anyway, being back at the house, Jael received a devastating news about her close friend passing away due to overdose. Her bad As bubbly and energetic as she was in the previous episodes, that was a downturn in her life. She became emotional and less annoying. The competition moves on with another minor challenge. Just like previous cycles, they were tested on their make up skills and techniques using Covergirl cosmetics (Revlon for the first cycle). Although Brittany was sick during the challenge, she created the best spring look and was named the winner, and Cassandra was disqualified because she was late. Aw! Nevertheless, starting from this episode, Brittany constantly discussed the pain of her new weave, which annoyed the the girls most of the time.

In the shoot that episode, the girls had to portray different types of candy. Not only they had to pose as candies, but they had to do it nude at the same time. Imagine how hard would it be for the plus size girls to actually excel in this, since they're competing with a bunch of girls who are relatively thinner than them.

Britney, the banana split. Love her as much as I love banana split!


Cassandra, the jelly bean. Just like the beans, they come and go pretty quickly.


Diana, the gummy bears. She actually portrayed the character well.


Dionne, the candy cane. She really have some personality going on.


Felicia, the lollipop. Yes, she pops in this picture!


Jael, the birthday cake. She looks more like a lizard on the cake...


Jaslene, dulce de leche (milk-based syrup). She appeared to be anorexic here.


Natasha, gum balls. Will she keep rolling out?


Renee, the candy necklace. The necklace's shiny and attractive.


Sarah, the hard candy. As hard as she was, she's fashionable.


Whitney, the chocolate kiss. That's a lot of chocolate going on.
